I am going to a stylized shoot today in the mountains and I am really excited about it! So I thought I would do a little throwback to this summer stylized shoot from last year.
It is so fun to go back and look at my work and see how much I have grown! These pictures weren’t even taken a year ago, and I feel like I have improved so much since these. I like my editing style a little better now (more vibrant and detailed), and I have learned a lot about light and locations since these shoots. But I still love them! They remind me that all of my hard work has been paying off.
This stylized shoot was so fun. There is an awesome photographer that used to live here but moved to the east coast. This was her last big stylized shoot she put together before she left. So she went all out! She got like nine different couples, bouquets for everyone, and had several detailed setups in the woods for her models to model on. It was so cool! She even made t-shirts for all of the photographers. It was so much fun to be with like 30 other people who love photography as much as I do!
Stylized shoots are so nice because they give you a chance to be creative. It takes the pressure off that you sometimes feel from a normal shoot because you aren’t expected to deliver a certain type of product. It’s your chance to experiment and try new things! It’s also so fun to learn from other photographers. Some of them have posing and angle techniques that are different than mine, and it’s fun to get a different perspective on things.
Stylized shoots are the best. I have fond memories of this one! I can’t wait to make more awesome memories tonight at the Lilac and Lace shoot in the Ririe mountains!
