Hilton Playa Del Carmen Review

My husband and I went to the Hilton in Playa Del Carmen for our ten year anniversary recently. We loved it so much! There are a lot of things we wish we had known beforehand, so I decided to write a post about it. I also wanted to leave my honest Hilton Playa Del Carmen Review. Overall, we give this resort a 5 star rating! It was incredible. The service was superior, the food was amazing, and the vibes were just right. Granted, we haven’t ever been to another all-inclusive resort. But honestly, I can’t imagine how it could get much better. We still talk daily about how we can’t wait to go back. Here are some things we wish we had known or were happy to learn over our stay.

1. Bring nice clothes! We mainly packed swimsuits and T shirts. A lot of the restaurants and evening shows are fancier. We wish we had had nicer clothes to wear around.
2. Book a massage! The massage was lovely, but the best part was that it gave us access to the hydro circuit every day. The hydro circuit is a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and two different hot tubs. You work your way through each one, showering off in cold water in between each circuit. The workers in the hydro circuit will keep track of time and walk you through it if you want. It was INCREDIBLE. We did it every single day. It was a little bit of a bummer that it was separated by gender. Each gender had their own hydro circuit. It would have been fun to do it with my husband, but it was still an amazing experience. 
3. A lot of the excursions are very similar. We did Xel-ha and Xcaret. Both were very cool, but we did the same things at each one. They had river floats, snorkeling, yummy food, and hammocks to lounge in. Xel-ha also had zip lining and cliff jumping. If I had to choose between the two, I would definitely choose Xel-ha. However, we didn’t stick about for the show at Xcaret, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Everyone told us it was the best part, but we were too tired by the end of the day to stay.

The food at the resort was soo good! Almost every restaurant we went to was so delicious. Our very favorite was Rincon Mexicano. They had a menu, but they also had a taco buffet, which was incredible. We were so sad that we didn’t find it until the last day! We would have eaten there every meal if wet could have. I also loved the pasta from Pelicanos, the omelets from Spice, and the mango gelato from Barefoot. All of it was so good! 

If you are debating staying here or not, I would totally recommend this resort! There are so many things to enjoy, like the poolside service, the tennis court, the yoga classes, and so much more. We will 100% be back!
