These Oceanside family pictures were taken right at sundown on Harbor Beach. They turned out beautifully! I especially love the way the sun is hitting the jetty in the background. I think it adds a little magic to these photos. These were taken just a month ago, at the end of January. It was such a pretty time to be in California!
I love traveling and I love photography. When I have the opportunity to do both things at the same time, I jump on it! I decided to do this photo session in Oceanside, and at the last minute my husband and I decided to make a family trip out of it. We booked plane tickets, an awesome condo from On the Sand Vacations, and Disneyland tickets without telling our kids. On Sunday morning, we woke the kids up early. They thought they had been woken up to get ready for church. But we sat them on the couch and told them we were going to Disneyland right then. I’m not going to lie, it was one of the most magical moments I have had as a mother. They were all just so dang excited! It was also very nice that we didn’t have to deal with the anticipation of three little boys constantly asking when we were going to go to Disneyland haha. We hopped in the car and I took these pictures that night.
Bless her heart, my sister came with us to help with our four kids. She really makes family vacations easier haha. We all had a great time. We went to some cool tide pools, saw my childhood best friend, ate lots of good food, and took our boys to Disneyland. It was an awesome trip and I’m so happy we decided to make it happen! Taking these Oceanside family pictures opened up an awesome opportunity for my family to go on vacation, and we made some really great memories. If anyone wants pictures while on vacation, let me know! My husband and I love to travel and I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t take much convincing to set up a destination photo shoot. 🙂
