Newborn Photos

This newborn session was a dream! Mainly because this fam is one of my favorite families ever. Mckinsey has been one of my best friends for as long as I can remember, and it was such a treat to take newborn photos of her new little Miles. 

This is the cute friend that Amy and I went and surprised in Portland. We showed up on her doorstep when she was 8 months pregnant to hang out with her for the weekend. We had a party! I hope that the next place she moves to is really warm so Amy and I can plan another surprise visit haha. 

Since Mckinsey was really cool about these pictures, I decided to try out some new presets I bought. They were created by Breanne Weston. She has been my very favorite family photographer for the last two years, and I was out of my mind excited to try her presets. These pictures turned out so dreamy! I try to keep my images consistent, so I haven’t switched over to using the Breanne Weston presets (right now I use the KJ process). But maybe in the future I will make the switch! I feel like the images are fairly similar to my current editing style. But they have a little bit more of a creamy and moody feel. I love it. Nice work Breanne!
Kins, thanks for letting me take these newborn photos of Miles. He is perfect in every way. I love how his hair sticks straight off of the back of his head. I hope you don’t ever cut those luscious locks!
