Idaho Falls Photography Locations
Believe it or not, there are a lot of beautiful locations right here in Idaho Falls! We are so lucky to live in such a green and pretty place! Here are some of my favorite Idaho Falls photography locations.
Pumice Pits
This is a beautiful location in the foothills of Ammon. Perfect if you are going for that neutral look! The best time for this location is an hour before sunset. This is a great place for engagements, formals, family, and extended family photos.
Ryder Park
If you follow the bike trail to the west right behind the second pond a Ryder Park, you will find this beautiful location about 1/8 of a mile down. This location is best right around sunset! I love it because its pretty and green, but not so much so that it takes away from the subjects of the images. This location is best for engagements, formals, and families.
Rock Garden at Taylor’s Crossing
Beautiful local location, especially in the summer! Pretty flowers, cute little benches, and awesome rocks for sitting on. Best time is an hour before sunset. This is a great location for engagements, families, and extended families.
Freeman Park
This is a pretty green location that is great for families and extended families. It’s on the east side of the park, right behind the cute stream. This spot is perfect an hour before sunset, but can be done two hours before if necessary.
Rocks on the River
This pretty spot is right on the river, just south the Northwind building off of Higham St. This is a great location for engagements and smaller families. Best time is at sunset!
Higham Street Green Field
This location is perfect for extended families! It’s large and easily accessible. It is also great for individual families. It’s right behind Freeman Park, located at the end of Higham St. Pictures at this location can be taken two hours before sunset until the sun sets.
Japanese Friendship Garden
This location is beautiful because it has a large variety of scenery. There are so many pretty places here! This is a great spot for individual family photos and engagements. The lighting is great 2 hours before sunset until the sun sets. It is also great in the early mornings.
Snake River Landing
Snake River Landing is beautiful in both the summer and fall months. It’s a great spot for families and extended families. There are also a lot of pretty little places for engagement photos down here. The lighting is great about an hour and a half before sunset.
