I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We believe in a modern-day prophets, who lead and guide us down the path to God. Our current prophet, Russell M. Nelson, offered an invitation last week to #givethanks during this thanksgiving season by sharing our gratitude. I figured there’s no better time than now to share the things that bring me the most joy in life!
Jesus Christ. I’m so grateful for his sacrifice that makes it possible for us to repent, be comforted, be cleansed, and live eternally in heaven with our families.
My little family. Man, am I grateful for my family! My husband is so supportive and loving. He always encourages me to follow my dreams, even if they seem a little too big. My boys are my sunshine, my reason why, and the source of my main joy in life. I can’t imagine a life without them and I thank God for them every day.
My big family. We have always been close as a Hale clan, and it has been the biggest blessing. We do most things together, and our kids are all so close. It’s the best. I also have been blessed with the best in-laws. Robbie’s siblings are some of the people I look up to most in life. They are strong, giving, loving, and always going the extra mile. I really hate that both of Robbie’s parents have passed away, but I love that it has brought his siblings so close together.
Relationships. Relationships have brought me the greatest joys and the greatest sorrows in life. Some relationships have seasons, others last for the eternities. All of the relationships I have had with others have taught me and continue to teach me so much.
Passions. Photography is one of my newly-discovered passions. I love it so much! It gives me more purpose and joy in my every-day life. It unites families and captures the best moments in peoples’ lives. It really is the best.
Sports. They have been a source of a lot of joy in my life. I have made some of my very best friends playing sports. College intramurals have been some of my very favorite memories of all time. I have learned how to work hard, build relationships, and dedicate myself from playing sports. Being physically fit makes me happy and helps me feel healthy.
Idaho Falls. Believe it or not, guys, I couldn’t love this place any more. It is home. It holds so many memories. This is the place that grew up, fell in love, had my kids, and so much more. I can’t really imagine life anywhere else.
I have so much more to be grateful for! But these are a few of the most important things in my life. I’m so grateful for this time of year to reflect on all of the things I have been blessed with!
