Salt Flats Session

I think that most photographers have a bucket list of places they would like to shoot. The Bonneville Salt Flats was at the very top of my list. So when I saw that Kaci Lou Photography was hosting a stylized salt flats session, I jumped on it. And I am so grateful that I did!
A stylized shoot is where a bunch of photographers get together and take pictures of the same subjects. The person that organizes the shoot usually gets beautiful dresses, bouquets, and other props to add a nice pop to the pictures. Kaci did not disappoint! She went all out, and it definitely showed. I mean, she even bought us Cafe Rio. So it was like a triple win. Salt flats, beautiful models, and Cafe Rio. It was so much fun!

One of the best things about stylized shoots is getting to hang out with other photographers. It’s so fun to be around people who share the same passion as you. People were geeking out about Amy and Jordan, Katelyn James, and Tamron lenses. It was so fun listening to other photographers talk about all of their favorites. I of course had to bring up Kylee Mentors Moms, because that has been a game changer for my business! Also, I owe almost everything I know about photography to Amy and Jordan Demos, so it was nice to be able to talk to other photographers about how amazing they are. One of my goals on my bucket list is to get a picture of a #demossandwich.

This couple was SOO cute! They are dating, so they were all giddy and excited to get their pictures taken together. And you can definitely tell! They were naturals behind the camera and didn’t need much guidance. It was so fun meeting Mekall and Josh! This couple was a photographer’s dream, and I really hope I get to shoot them again in the future. 

I’m so grateful to Kaci Lou for putting on this awesome stylized shoot and for all the photographers and models I got to meet. Such a neat experience! I can’t wait to sign up for another one soon!
